Welcome back to the blog! It’s been a while - we know! We’re back with a fresh post all about the Gatewood’s wedding. This time Paddy from One for the Road Ky will be taking over as the first Bit by Bit guest blogger!

The Gatewoods’ September wedding at the Polo Barn at Saxony Farm was so much fun. There were some awesome and unique touches planned by the bride and her mother and the execution was super smooth (thanks to Remi and Megan!)

The cocktail hour was on the patio outside of the barn, where guests mingled and enjoyed mixed cocktails and draft beer from the Taps Trailer - plus two signature cocktails honoring the real MVPs, Benny and Bella, the couples English and French Bulldogs!

Once the hour was over, it was time for entrances. The bridal squad rocked UK jerseys, and the groomsmen opted for a suave look in tuxes. The boys didn’t take their fancy attire too seriously though, their human bowling ball entrance had everyone in fits! Emily and Alden chose to make their entrance with a twist, opting for a Jeezy tune over a traditional wedding soundtrack - because who needs classical music when you can get the party started with some rap?

Speeches and first dances were interjected by various members of the wedding party getting iced, and when the dance floor opened, the party really cranked up! Late night snack arrived around 9:30pm - which made us realize that nothing says "‘happily ever after’ like chowing down on chili cheese dogs and hamburgers in your finest attire.

We at One for the Road KY feel so privileged to have been part of this magical day. Emily, Alden, and their wedding party were so much fun to work with and there is no better venue than Saxony for a Kentucky Wedding. Such a memorable night. Massive thanks to all the amazing vendors who played a part and to Remi and Megan behind the scenes making sure everything went smoothly. Couldn’t have pulled off such a fantastic day without you guys.
